New short story in Image!
A new story “I Know Where I’m Going” appears in Image Journal. The story is about a victim of American gun violence traveling in Morocco, and it explores the question of what it means to be Jewish, as well as what it means to be human during these fraught days.

My new novel, Hotel Cuba, due out in 2023!
I’m delighted to announce that my new novel, Hotel Cuba, has been sold to Harper Perennial. It’s the story of two sheltered Russian Jewish refugee sisters, one sensible and one impractical, who find themselves trapped in hedonistic Prohibition-era 1920s Havana while trying to emigrate to America. The book is scheduled for publication in 2023.
